HIMCR #260 - Christmas in July!!

Welcome to the Christmas in July Challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room, this weeks challenge is sponsored by DCWV.  They are one of my favorite paper companies and I personally love their stacks for mini albums especially, its very economical especially when you give them as gifts.  I made this card from the French Country Stack, it wasn't Christmas but I love the shabby/vintage look of this stack and these papers were the perfect backdrop for this Snow Peep from Unity.  Don't forget to enter for your chance to win a box of goodies worth $100, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Supplies used: DCWV, Unity Stamps, Shinhan Touch Markers, Stickles

HIMCR #259 - Try a new fold and share

Its Saturday so that means another challenge from Hiding in My Craft Room.  This weeks challenge is to make a project with any fold other than the standard 4 1/4 x 5 2/4" card.  We were given this lovely digital paper from MHK Designs and a lovely digital stamp set.  I choose to layer my stamp on the paper.  Since the image was squarish I decided to make an easel card.  I used some Distress Ink to give the paper a more vintage vibe to match the stamp set.  Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with

HIMCR #258 - Super Scraps Saturday with a Twist! Make is Christmas!

It's time for another challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room, this weeks challenge is Super Scraps with a Twist, the twist is to make it Christmas.  This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Digital Delights and the winner will receive a $5 GC to spend in their store.

Since I haven't got much Christmas scraps right now I decided to do non traditional colors and grabbed this scrap from my sweet tangerine stack from DCWV.  I based the card colors off the muted tones in the paper, added a few sequins and voila.  I really like how this turned out, and will remember to try non traditional colors next time.  Even the brown matting was a scrap from last weeks project, see it pays not to clean up once in a while :).  Good luck and I can't wait to see your creations.

HIMCR #257 - Christmas Colors

It's time for another HIMCR, this weeks challenge is to create a project using Christmas colors.  The prize is 3 images from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More!  Stop on by they have some really cute images.  For this challenge I decided to make some gift card holders, I use these a lot at Christmas so I decided to get a head start.  I left the inside blank (except for the pocket to hold the gift card) since I am not sure who these will be given to.  Don't forget to enter and good luck to everyone.  If you want to see how to make one of these here is a video tutorial on how.
